![]() ![]() It really depends on who you end up being a driver for but I have seen guys start out at BN with a LTC and as that officer advanced to GO he kept the same driver. As a driver you usually learn all the dirty secrets of the post via other drivers and exchange unit coins left and right. The latter is so much more relaxing and rewarding. If after you complete AIT and get to your first duty station and they want a driver for an officer at the reception JUMP THE FUCK UP AND VOLUNTEER IMMEDIATELY! You can be everyone's bitch or you can be some officer's bitch. Horrible leadership and no real mission to work towards in order to feel accomplished. Logistical units and quartermaster units are the worst, avoid them at all costs. You will talk about how much of a badass you were to new recruits even though you're probably a fat sack of shit at that point in your career. On the weekends you will get a DUI or do some type of illegal drug to get away from the reality that is your life. ![]() That job is even worse and very monotonous. You will work with a lot of retards who have no common sense.Įventually in your career you might be given the awesome assignment of working at the AIT BN training new troops like yourself. Deployed you will either drive a truck and do the same as above or you will get put on guard duty in a tower or at the chow hall, either way you won't like it. The job is not rewarding and the last thing you will want to do once you get out is drive another truck, ask me how I know. I spent months one time just coming into the motor pool and watching movies all day because there was nothing to do but when it got busy, it got busy. You may finish your job two hours into the day only to be told to sit around until 1700 to leave. Well as an 88M you will sit around on your ass most of the time in the motor pool after PMCSing your vehicles, washing windows and doing 元's and 10 level maintenance. ![]() r/army /r/navy /r/usmc /r/uscg /r/airforce r/nationalguard r/airnationalguard/ /r/britishmilitary /r/CanadianForces /r/AustralianMilitary /r/TheRoyalNavy /r/Bundeswehr More Related Subreddits 15C, 15E, 15M, 15W - USMC MOS 7314/6214 USAF AFSC 1U0X1 USN NEC 8361-4, 6-8 (MOS Prerequisite Waiver Required for ALL sister service) 151A.
